CLEANSED

This is the trailer for my first theatre play. The main reason I wanted to do this amazing play by Sarah Kane is because I had no idea how to stage it. Her writing is incredibly beautiful, but her stage directions are so extreme (chock full of mutilations, violence and sex) that it is impossible to do them realistically. Which is exactly what I was looking for: a play that would force me to get away from cinematic realism and into the realm of poetry.
