Vréckveih is set on a remote sheep farm, where sisters Becky and Anna grapple with grief, poverty, and the relentless passage of time following their parents' deaths. Their fragile existence is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious stranger, leading to an unlikely alliance.
The play—Simon Longman’s Gundog, translated into Luxembourgish as Vréckveih—was a joy to direct. Though the story leans into darkness, it’s laced with moments of unexpected humor that give it a nice bite, as evidenced in the trailer.
